I've been hearing a lot of great things about Zac recently, I need to check out some of his books!

Also heard great things about The Fountainhead. I have never been interested in fiction, but after reading Andy Andrews and seeing how powerfully you can teach via stories I need to try out a few others. Thanks for the tip!

As Jon White recommended, QBQ is awesome! I'm also a huge Zac Bissonnette fan (Debt Free U and How To Be Richer, Smarter, and Better Looking Than Your Parents) and I would recommend ALL financial coaches read them (great resources for blogposts in the back too).

Here's one recommendation that might throw you: Ayn Rand's "The Fountainhead". It's about an architect that doesn't compromise his artistic and personal vision or conform to the traditional way of designing buildings. The clincher comes at the end with an incredible speech in a courtroom.

Don't be normal, be weird and change the world!

"By doing so we learn and get better." Love this point! It helps me to remember that it's okay to not be awesome at something when I start, and that just because I'm not awesome the first try doesn't mean I can't BE awesome.

June is almost here! Be sure and let me know when you release your project!

I'm afraid of being bad at my serial that's coming out in June. I don't really want to be the worst at it... but I see what you're saying. It's okay to make mistakes. By doing so, we learn and get better. It takes a huge leap of faith to try anything new, whether it's a recipe, crochet stitch, or giving a speech. I think it's our innate urge to protect ourselves, so we avoid the unknown. But new things can be fun, too.

Thanks for this little boost today, Deacon.

Totally agree Amy! From my experience, discipline begets discipline. Two of the biggest areas you can start that process are with money and fitness. Both are easy to measure, and results will spill out into other areas of your life. Thanks for stopping by Amy!

Yes, Deacon People who are good at managing money are equally good managing their lives. Maybe because they are using their intellect to an enormous degree, I mean, these are the ones who really think hard and plan their moves based on long-term goals. I believe if we can be like them if we decide to control our life and our finances.
