Andy Traub on how rising early will change your life

Andy-Traub-Early-to-Rise-Book

It’s morning again. And whether it was your alarm clock that jolted you from your peaceful slumber or your early-bird kids, it’s time to start your day!

We all know how precious sleep is. Get enough and you’re a fun loving sociable citizen. Get behind and it’s a non-stop flight to zombie land.

Which is why we cherish every last second we can stay in bed and soak up as much as we can before our day begins.

Once the day starts, we’re like olympic sprinters off the line racing to catch up to our commitments.

It’s no wonder so many of us are feeling tired, behind, and stressed. It’s no surprise we can’t find the time and energy to create a life we’re excited to live.

For most people this is reality. This is how they live their lives. And if you want to escape that reality, then you need a new plan.

Whether you knew it or not morning is the most important part of your entire day. It’s powerful beyond measure. Learn how to harness this power and you will transform your entire life. Ignore it, and you’ll likely have to settle for average.

I want to introduce you to my friend Andy Traub. Andy not only understands how powerful the morning time can be, he’s written a book to show you how to harness it, step by step. Listen in as Andy and I talk about his new book, Early to Rise, and how it will transform your life in 30 days.

“If you can handle being miserable for 3 minutes, you can add 2 hours to your day.”

For those of you still scratching your heads about how something as simple as waking up early can change your life, I want to share a thought from Jim Rohn that always puts things in perspective.

“The magic isn’t in the complexity of a task. The magic is in doing it!
- Jim Rohn

Thanks for sharing this interview Deacon. As someone who has attempted to rise early these past few years, with various degrees of success, I’m looking forward to checking out Andy’s book.

I’m with you – not often successful :) . I go through phases where it’s great, but once I’m off track it’s a tough road back. :)

I’ve known for YEARS that I do best when I get up @ 4:21 am. Doing it, however, is hard. BUT, only for the first 3 minutes like you said. I’ve gotta get back to it starting in the morning. Thanks for this. I was just talking about this today to 2 different people (@ different times, too) and then this email and video shows up in my inbox. Yeah, someone was talking to me through you.

4:21 – that’s really specific! I’ve know it’s important for years, but it takes continued reminders and motivation to get me to stick with it :) . I’m loving @andytraub:disqus ‘s book for that!

    Brandon,

This is interesting thing for sure.

Although I’m an early riser already, I’ll most likely pick a thing or two from Andy after going through his book :)

    Cheers,

    Timo

Thanks Timo! I still struggle a lot with this based on my 6-month-old’s current schedule. Right now he’s staying up later, which keeps us up later. Always something :)

Yeah … I had to give up my early wake-ups because of this very fact when our son was young. But hang on … things will get better :)
